2013-2014 | MU ARCHITECTURE | Intern Architect/Project Manager | Montréal

  • Worked on a variety of architectural projects including restaurant, condominiums, office buildings, single family residential, photography studios and a spa.
  • Lead a team in the creation of a competition entry for a fine arts museum and library in Taichung, Taiwan.
  • Was involved in all aspects of design, from concept to execution including project management.
  • Introduced BIM, parametric modelling and digital fabrication to the office.

2010 | PHILIP BEESLEY ARCHITECTS | Architectural Designer | Toronto

  • Designed new components for Beesley’s Hylozoic Series, a body of interactive architectural installations
  • The design process included: sketching, 3d modeling, mechatronics programming, as well as digital fabrication and construction of physical prototypes
  • Responsibilities also included 3d modelling of the complete installation, as well as digital fabrication and assembly of each project

2008 | LEWELLYN DAVIES YEANG | Architectural Designer | London

  • Worked under Dr. Ken Yeang on two invited design competitions for Samsung Engineering and UKCMRI, also worked as a design team member on a children’s hospital project and an urban design masterplan where I obtained valuable experience in Yeang’s deep green design and sustainability concepts
  • Built comprehensive 3d models for rendered visualizations/animations, rapid
  • prototype iterations, physical model construction, drawing extraction and
  • engineering models
  • Created presentation materials including drawings, diagrams and writing.
  • Provided 3d CAD support to other projects to resolve complex geometries for construction
  • Prepared and submitted a planning application package for a multi-residential
  • project

2007 | RIM ARCHITECTS | Architectural Designer | Honolulu

  • Participated as a design team member for several projects ranging in scale from small retail renovations to a $60,000,000 hospital master plan
  • Obtained responsibility of a large retail project, moving it from design development through to construction documents
  • Contributed to numerous conceptual designs
  • Prepared presentation materials for several design proposals

2006-2007 | MERRICK ARCHITECTURE | Architectural Designer | Victoria

  • Played an integral role as a design team member for two major projects during the design development phase, which included a university building and a large mixed use commercial/residential complex
  • Managed construction and implementation of comprehensive 3d models
  • Developed detailed work flows for models and drawings used by the team
  • Played a key role in a large number of design decisions including: form, massing, materials, elevations, sun shading strategies, landscape design, programming etc.
  • Designed a frontispiece pavilion for the Radius project
  • Created clear, highly polished 3d visualizations for use in communication with clients and marketing
  • Responsibilities also included contract administration for a renovation project at St. Michael’s University, responsibilities included site inspections, reports, site instructions, and change orders

2003 - 2005 | PIQUE PRODUCTIONS | Founder/President | Niagara Falls

  • Awarded a $3000 grant from the government of Ontario to launch a web design company
  • Completed a series of commercial websites for a wide variety of businesses including law firms, insurance companies and retail stores
  • Responsibilities included marketing, sales calls, contract negotiation, planning, design, construction and maintenance of websites, as well as accounting.
